Annet Mahendru

Mahendru a Russian Indian mother was born in Afghanistan. Mahendru speaks fluent German Russian English, French Persian as well Hindi. Her parents are Russian as well as Indian. At age 11 she choreographed a performance which earned her a spot on German television as a beautiful Russian snow maiden that turns into a lively Indian dancer. Her high school graduation was successful and earned a bachelor's degree from the Department of English at the University of New York. The classes she took in acting were with the HB Studios. However, she left to pursue improvisational comedy at the Groundlings School. She was born in Kabul Afghanistan by a Hindu/Indian father Ghanshan Mahendru and an Russian-speaking mother Olga. Their parents split at the age of 13 young and was moved from the city of her birth to East Meadow New York with her father.She appears alongside Matthew Rhys and Keri Russell on The Americans on FX. The Americans. Her role on FX's The Americans as Nina Sergeevna Krilova is perhaps her most memorable television performance. She had a recurring part in Fox's The Following and NBC's The Blacklist.
